Web Developer Job at Fenestra Studio, United States

  • Fenestra Studio
  • United States

Job Description

Company Description

Fenestra Studio helps local businesses get online faster and easier. Instead of waiting weeks and paying hourly for every update, clients get a custom website delivered in 7 days. We build tailored sites for contractors, restaurants, salons, auto shops, and neighborhood retailers, so each brand stands out. Fenestra Studio combines speed, quality, and individuality so small businesses can quickly build a strong online presence.

Role Description

This is a remote, contract Web Developer role. The Web Developer designs, builds, and maintains responsive websites for local business clients, working with our sales team to turn each business’s needs into a functional, user-friendly site. New builds come through our team portal with a 7-day countdown. You start with a homepage preview for client approval, then complete the full site. Responsibilities include front-end layouts, back-end features such as contact forms, performance optimization, and cross-device and cross-browser compatibility. The role also involves fixing technical issues, updating live sites based on client change requests, and improving tools and workflows to speed up delivery. Use of AI tools is encouraged to speed up turnaround , as long as every site is professional and fully working.

Qualifications

  • Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience building responsive, accessible interfaces
  • Back-end web development experience (server-side code, databases, APIs) for dynamic site features
  • Solid fundamentals: version control, debugging, performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
  • Clean, maintainable, well-documented code and strong problem-solving
  • An eye for web design, including layout, typography and usability
  • Experience building websites for small or local businesses; WordPress or Webflow is a plus
  • Comfortable using AI tools to work faster without sacrificing quality
  • Able to manage multiple builds on a deadline and communicate clearly
  • Reliable internet and your own computer
  • A degree in Computer Science, Web Development or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
